Our self-guided trails take you right around Exmoor, staying in different locations with 12-25 mile rides between each and with the opportunity of exploring inbetween. The rides are chosen to give you the best scenery and use quiet country lanes, avoiding the steepest climbs wherever possible. All the accomodation is chosen for comfort, and friendly service in small country house hotels, B&Bs or inns. All have en-suite facilities and most can provide you with excellent evening meals. Route maps and notes are provided, and your luggage transferred for you.

Example: Ride to the clifftops and follow the coast road with its beautiful views, through the Valley of Rocks to Lynton and the pretty harbour of Lynmouth. From here you return inland to the riverside village of Brendon. Your trail takes you through the legendry Doone country and then on down the lovely deserted toll-road, with its spectacular views, to the bay of Porlock. Pause to visit the local craft workshops and lunch by the boats at Porlock Weir. On again through pretty English country villages to your next stop at B&B or small country hotel. After a comfortable night and hearty breakfast, why not visit Dunster Castle and lunch at the award-winning village High Street restaurant. A ride to the little town of Dulverton, with its antique shops and fabulous tearoom, is followed by tremendous views as you follow the edge of the moor, before cutting back to Exford. A friendly welcome awaits, and from here you can explore the heart of Exmoor, with its charming villages, ancient bridges and abundant wildlife.
